Privacy, plainly.

RedRoot Editorial is run by Ricardo Ruas, a registered freelancer in Portugal. This page explains what happens to your information when you use this site, in plain language, because you deserve to know.

When you send an inquiry, I receive what you typed: your name, email address, and whatever you share about your book. I use it for exactly one purpose: replying to you and, if we work together, doing the work. I never sell it, share it, or add you to a mailing list you didn’t ask for.

Your manuscript and pages travel by email, inbox to inbox. They are read by me and only me, never entered into AI tools, and never shared without your written permission. If we don’t end up working together, I delete what you sent on request, and otherwise within a reasonable time.

This site is hosted on Framer, which processes standard technical data (like IP addresses) to serve the pages. Form submissions are delivered to my email. I don’t run advertising trackers. The site’s visit counts come from Framer’s cookieless analytics, which counts pages, not people.

Under the GDPR you can ask me at any time what information I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to ricardo@redrooteditorial.com and I’ll handle it personally, usually within a few days.
